Lion Rodney Sweger, past Governor of District 14-D, was honored by the Tucquan Lions Club at the final regular meeting of 1995-96 with a Ralph Taylor Fellowship. The Ralph Taylor award is given only to outstanding Lions, and is as significant as the coveted Melvin Jones Fellowship. Past District Governor Sweger has been actively involved with Lion activities since 1979. He served in many capacities on the local level, including a term as President in 1987-88. Lion Sweger has served District 14-D as a committee member of Ride for Sight, a motorcycle ride whose purpose is to raise money to help with the prevention and treatment of blindness. He served for three years as chairman of Campaign SightFirst, during which time $275,000 was raised in District 14-D. He is presently serving as District Membership Chairman, and is a member of the board for the state of Pennsylvania. Lion Rod has attended many district and state conventions, and has attended International conventions on several occasions. This year he is District 14-D Chairman for the Lions International Convention, which will be held in Philadelphia. During a recent cabinet meeting, PDG Sweger was given a Melvin Jones Fellowship by the district he served so well in 1995-96! PDG Sweger received the District Governor Excellence Award, for which he satisfied 21 of 23 possible criteria. International President Augustin Soliva presented the Leadership Medal and the prestigious Lions of Pennsylvania Fellow awards to Immediate Past District Governor Rodney Sweger at the convention held May 10, 1997, during the Multiple District 14 Pennsylvania Convention in York, PA.

Lion John Burkins has been a member of our club since 1970, and has served as secretary for 14 years. During his tenure as secretary, he has done outstanding work keeping records, submitting reports, ordering supplies, and serving as the liaison officer between our club and District 14-D. He has kept the Tucquan club well informed of activities on the state and International level. In addition to his work as club secretary, Lion Burkins has served District 14-D as Zone Chairman, Region Chairman, and, for the last four years, Membership Chairman. He has won many awards over the years including the coveted Melvin Jones Fellowship. At the meeting of the Tucquan Lions Club on June 18, 1996, Lions Haines Clements and Clate Metzler presented a Ralph Taylor Fellowship to out going Lion Secretary John Burkins.

Lion Ken Klein was honored by District 14-D with a Melvin Jones Fellowship on October 3, 1996. Lion Klein has served our local club in many ways since his induction in 1978. He has served as chairman of the Membership Committee for many years. He has served District 14-D for several years, including a two year term as Zone A. Chairman.

A Melvin Jones Fellowship was awarded to Lion Howard Cramer at the 50th Anniversary celebration on May 3, 1997. Lion Cramer has served as an outstanding member of the Tucquan Lions Club since his induction in 1969.

A Ralph Taylor Fellowship was awarded to Lion Frank Aument at the regular meeting of the Tucquan Lions Club on June 16, 1998. Lion Aument has been an outstanding member of our club since his induction in 1958. He served as Treasurer of our club for many years. Lion Aument, one of our oldest members, recently received a 40-yr. Chevron.

Lion Jack Mahoney was honored by the Tucquan Lions Club with a Lions of Pennsylvania Fellowship in 1999.

A Melvin Jones Fellowship was awarded to Lion William Horst at the regular meeting of the Tucquan Lions Club on June 20, 2000. Lion Horst has been an outstanding member of our club since his induction in 1969.

A Melvin Jones Fellowship was awarded to Lion Jack Mahoney at the regular meeting of the Tucquan Lions Club on June 5, 2001. Lion Mahoney has been a member of our club since 1993.

A Melvin Jones Fellowship was awarded to Lion Clair Charles at the regular meeting of the Tucquan Lions Club on June 18, 2002. Lion Charles has been a member of our club since 1964.

A Lions of Pennsylvania Progressive Fellowship was given to Lion Jack Mahoney by District 14-D in 2002.

A Lions of Pennsylvania Fellowship was presented to Lion John Stoner by the Tucquan Lions Club on June 18, 2002.

A Lions of Pennsylvania Fellowship was presented to Lion Haines Clements by the Tucquan Lions Club on September 3, 2002.

A 50 Year Distinguished Service Award was presented to Lion John Stoner on June 17, 2003.

Lion Gary Devonshire was honored by the Tucquan Lions Club with a Melvin Jones Fellowship on June 15, 2004.

Lion Claude Walter was honored by the Tucquan Lions Club with a Lions of Pennsylvania Fellowship on June 15, 2004.

Lion Clair Charles received a 40-yr. Chevron for 2003-04.

A Melvin Jones Fellowship was awarded to Lion Rick Spangler at the regular meeting of the Tucquan Lions Club on June 21, 2005. Lion Spangler has been a member of our club since 1992.

Lion John Burkins received a 35-yr. Chevron for 2004-05.
