The Tucquan Lions Club meets the first and third Tuesday of each month from September through June. We meet at Valley View Restaurant on Route 272 near the Buck. The address of the restaurant is 1426 Lancaster Pike; Quarryville, PA 17566. For a complete meeting schedule, see page two!
The 60th Anniversary of the Tucquan Lions Club was celebrated May 12, 2007 at Hershey Farm Restaurant in Strasburg, PA. Past International Director Theodore T. Fusco was the featured speaker.
Members attended the Rawlinsville Camp Meeting on August 7, 2007.
Lion David Eller was installed as 2007-08 president of the Tucquan Lions Club on June 19, 2007.
A joint meeting of the Tucquan Lions Club and the Wakefield Lions Club was held September 4, 2007.
The Honorable Bryan Cutler, State Representative serving the 100th Legislative District, was inducted as a member of the Tucquan Lions Club on September 18, 2007.
The 20th Annual Tucquan Lions Club Ham Supper was held October 27, 2007.
Two members of the Tucquan Lions club were honored on June 18, 1996. Past District Governor Rodney Sweger and Lion John Burkins each received the prestigious Ralph Taylor Fellowship.
Lion Kenneth Klein received the prestigious Melvin Jones Fellowship at the Region I Rally on October 3, 1996.
The eighth meeting of 1996-97 - our annual Christmas Party - was held Tuesday, December 17. An announcement was made stating that Immediate Past District Governor Rodney Sweger received the District Governor Excellence Award.
The 50th Anniversary of the Tucquan Lions Club was celebrated Saturday, May 3, 1997. Lion Howard Cramer received the prestigious Melvin Jones Fellowship.
International President Augustin Soliva presented the Leadership Medal and the prestigious Lions of Pennsylvania Fellow awards to PDG Rodney Sweger at the Multiple District 14 Pennsylvania Convention held May 10, 1997 in York, PA.
Lion Frank Aument, who served our club for many years as Treasurer, was honored at the last regular meeting of the Tucquan Lions Club. District Governor Barry Crowther, on behalf of the Tucquan Lions Club, presented the prestigious Ralph Taylor Fellowship to Lion Aument on June 16, 1998.
Lion Jack Mahoney was honored by the Tucquan Lions Club with a Lions of Pennsylvania Fellowship in 1999.
Lion John Burkins, on behalf of the Tucquan Lions Club, presented a Melvin Jones Fellowship to Lion Jack Mahoney on June 5, 2001.
Lion Gary Devonshire was honored by the Tucquan Lions Club with the Lion of the Year award on June 19, 2001.
Lion Jack Mahoney was given a Lions of Pennsylvania Progressive Fellow Award by District 14-D in 2002.
Lion Clair Charles was honored by the Tucquan Lions Club with a Melvin Jones Fellowship on June 18, 2002.
Lions John Stoner and Haines Clements were honored by the Tucquan Lions Club with Lions of Pennsylvania Fellowships on June 18, 2002.
A 50 Year Distinguished Service Award was presented to Lion John Stoner on June 17, 2003.
